Cold Comfort Farm

An adapation by Paul Doust taken from the

novel by Stella Gibbons

Directed by Diana Sear

Performed September 2005

THIS well known tale of sophisticated Flora Poste's descent into rural chaos was the first WTS production in the newly refurbished Memorial Hall.

The Starkadder clan, interbred and doom-laden, changed their perceptions of life under the guidance of Flora, played by Carol Blake.

Panto at the OK Corral
Written by Jim Sperinck
Directed by Carol Blake
Performed January 2005

THIS hilarious show, with a Western theme, was filled with wise cracking and painful jokes, slapstick humour, the traditional pantomime horse and dame, principal boy, familiar songs and audience participation.

Set in the American West it told the story of Winnie Pegg, her daughter Calamity Jane and son James the Jessie.

Memorable performances included Colin Arney as the Dame; David Treacher as the simple son Jessie; Wendie Claridge as Diamond Lil; Taran Hewitt and Geoff Brunt as Butch Casserole and the Sun Tanned Kid; and Fiona Collier-Watts as Jane.
